Just a few quick thoughts
Okay guys, so I know I haven't been posting as much as normal but I was sick, then busy, and now I'm working on a top secret side project, but now I am almost ready to reveal it to all of you sparklez! It is really exciting, but I cannot share anything yet! I need requests! I don't know if you want more hair, nails, or makeup tutorials! I was thinking of expanding a little bit into makeup, and fashion but not most of my viewers wear makeup daily, so I would either do really fun and crazy tutorials for music videos and things like that or natural looks because we don't want our makeup to define us! The next tutorial I will upload once I get a good picture but I know for sure it will be on dripping makeup!

Real Style #1: Jessie J
Hey guys! So I thought it would be cool if I posted something on one of my role models, I am creating a series called real style where I write about one person in particular and how they have impacted me, and a little about them!
I chose Jessie J, a new British pop/rock/soul singer. Named Jessica Cornish, Jessie grew up in England and was bullied as a child, so she turned to acting and music. Now, Jessie has all you can ever want. A record deal, world fame, amazing style, and a group of girls basically worshipping her! She reflects on things most people wouldn't be bold enough to say in her songs. Now, first off, Jessie writes her own songs, and the lyrics actually make sense (unlike other certain pop songs). Her voice has such strong power, and such an amazing feel to it!
On a style aspect, Jessie wears vintage clothing, or whatever she can get her hands on that she likes. I love her style! She pulls off things that not a lot of other people can. The straight black hair, bright red lipstick, and big falsies with eyeliner compose her signature look, and although bold, looks cute and casual with her! Jessica Cornish should be a role model for every girl. She honestly doesn't care what others think of her, in fact there is a youtube video of her dancing around the park with a gorilla suit on! Check out Jessie J on her official website and you should really listen to some of her songs.
My top 5 favorite Jessie J songs:
1. Nobody's Perfect
2. Who You Are
3. Mamma Knows Best
4. Price Tag
5. Do It Like A Dude

Newspaper Nails!! As seen in Rihanna S&M music video!
This design is so cute! It is my design of the month, it is so cute and chic and easy! Instead of paying for a fancy manicure, just add this cute design that takes two minutes!
You will need a plain color of nail polish, light colors like light pink or white look best, as cool as neon sounds, it doesn't work! Apply two coats of this nail polish and wait until it is completely dry. Take an alcohol swab and apply to one nail until nail is soaked in rubbing alcohol. Take a piece of newspaper and press it on to your nail for 15 seconds, carefully take it off, if you go to fast it will stay on your nail. Once it is off your nail, it should reveal a perfect print of the text on the newspaper! Take the alcohol swab and wipe off your nail, voila! Newspaper nails! Just repeat these easy steps on all of your nails and you are done. Remember that you can use the same alcohol swab for more than 1 nail!

Glee Colors Review, Rainbow Nails
This product request was made by SpunkyPonies101
First off, the Glee colors were combining two great companies, Sephora and OPI, and let me tell you, it is a dynamic duo! I first put on this nail polish I think 5 days ago and it hasn't even chipped one little bit! It is great quality, cute colors, and great marketing!
This Request for a Nail Tutorial was made by IwantRainbownailz
For this you will need: A silver color, a red color, an orange color, a green color, a blue color and a purple color.
Start off by painting the whole nail silver, make sure that it is opaque. Then, about two thirds up from the bottom, paint a stripe of red, right below that orange, then yellow, then green, etc... Apply a clear coat on top and voila! You have an easy set of rainbow nails

Product Review! OPI Shatter
Hey guys! Sorry that I haven't posted in forever but I have been soo busy! Today I will be reviewing Shatter by OPI (and I know I normally use Essie products, but this is just the best product ever!). I think this is y first review so I have to explain how I do my reviews. First, I base it on quality, than I base it on how it looks, then how convenient it is/ how long it lasts.
OPI Shatter:
For those who don't know, OPI Shatter is a really cool nail polish where first you put a coat of regular nail polish, then you put OPI Shatter on top and it literally shatters the polish. It has a high surface tension so if splits across the nail (without damaging the bottom coat) and looks really cool! When I put it on my toes, it lasted about 2 weeks perfectly, and then cracked a tiny bit, but still looks great. Now, most of you know that I am a swimmer and most of you know that nail polish usually comes off in the pool, but this stayed on my fingernails and didn't even peel. Shatter looks really cool, but you have to have the right color combo, otherwise it won't look good. Let's say you have blue shatter, it looks great over orange nail polish, anything opposite on the color wheel looks good together. The cool thing about shatter is that it comes in different colors so there are a billion combo's you can make with it! It was a little pricey for nail polish but well worth it!
All in all I give it a 9 out of 10!

Fancy Nail Tutorials
Fancy Nails #1
LACE!
Okay, so this sophisticated look is very girly and serious at the same time. You will need black nail polish (or any other dark color), and a light color (I prefer light pink/beige), a piece of lace (size or shape doesn't matter as long it can cover all of your nails) and tape. So to start, we will apply a base coat of the darker color, although this is confusing, this is the color that the lace will be. The coat can be sloppy, as long as it is flat, we will only be seeing a little bit of it. Then, take your lace, and place it over your nail. Tape it down on either sides. Take the lighter color of nail polish (in my case light pink/beige) and paint it directly over the lace, when you are doing this, make sure that the lace stays in the same spot. Apply two coats without moving the lace. Then, once they are dry, lift off the lace, revealing a beautiful lace pattern. Then do the same with all of your other fingers, you can use the same section of lace, but I think it looks best when you use random different sections. Once you have done all of your nails, apply a clear coat on top. And you have beautiful lace nails!
Fancy Nails #2:
ZEBRA!
This look is perfect for parties, and can still work casually. This is also easier than it seems! You will need a base coat, I think metallics look best so I am using silver glitter nail polish, a toothpick, and black nail polish for the stripes. First, apply the base coat of silver. Make sure that it is covering the whole nail, this is trickier with metallics and sparkles. Then, take your black nail polish, and with the brush, start drawing lines from the outside horizontally in to a tiny bit past the middle. These lines should curve at the ends. Then take a toothpick and the black nail polish. Add dimension to the stripes by thickening them at various points on one or both sides of the line. Seal with a clear coat, and you are done!

POLKA DOT TRAIL
This sweet and young style takes on a sophisticated style with a french tip and a trail. It is great for parties, but you can wear it to school any day too! You will need a dotting tool, pink nail polish, white nail polish, and tape. Start off by painting a base coat of pink. Make sure that is perfectly dry before the next step. Okay, so this step is only for people who have trouble drawing straight lines (like myself) but it is really helpful. Take a piece of tape and cover your whole nail except for the tip. Paint the tip white, add a second coat. When you are positive that it is dry, remove the tape carefully. Repeat this step on all of the nails until you have french tips on ever nail. Apply a clear coat on top of that. Now, with the dotting tool, make a trail of white dots on the pink on all of your nails, make sure that it reaches the tip. Then, in pink, continues the trail on the white tips. Ta da! You have a cute polka dot trail!
Fancy Nails #4:
CASINO NAILS
These nails give gambling a softer edge, while looking sophisticated and sassy! For these nails you will need green nail polish, white nail polish, red nail polish, black nail polish, and a toothpick. Start off by painting your nails with a base coat of green, to represent the casino table. Then, make part of a white rectangle on your nail, the rest of the rectangle should be cut off at the tip of your nail, it looks best diagonal. Add more coats until no green is showing through. Then, take your toothpick and black nail polish and outline the rectangles except for the edge that goes off of your nail. On two or three or your nails (you can do every other nail) draw an A in the bottom left corner (the one on the side of your nail with an outline). Then below it, draw three dots and a line in the shape of a club, or draw a diamond, or draw a spade, but make each nail different. Once you have done that, wipe off your toothpick and put it down. Draw however much of that shape would be showing if the card was cut off. Apply a clear coat on top. Now, with the red and the toothpick, do the same thing. Voila! Lovely casino nails!
The colors that I normally use for these are listed below, of course, by essie.
Lace Nails: Intimate (beige/light pink) and little brown dress (the dark color)
Zebra Nails: silver buttons (metallic) and luxedo (off black)
Polka dot Nails: fiesta (pink), and minimalistic (white)
Casino Nails: Minimalistic (white), red label (red), pretty edgy (green) and licorice (black)
Thanks... and fruity nail tutorials!
First of all before I start all of the nail tutorials for spring.... I just want to thank everyone, at the end of the first day my blog was opened to the public, I got over 100 views, I hope you all share this blog, but thanks for those who were the first to "discover' this website. Okay, so now I will get to the nail tutorials. I picked a few different fruits to do that i thought were simple enough and cute and fun for spring.
Fruity Nail Tutorial #1
STRAWBERRIES!
Okay so I am totally in love with anything strawberry; smoothies, umbrellas, cartoons, nails, you name it! I think that they are just so adorable! Okay, so you will need 1 green color, 1 coral color (can also be red or pink), 1 white color and a toothpick. A clear coat on top is optional, but I think it really finishes off the look. First, paint the whole nail with your coral, pink, or red color. Make sure that the coat is opaque. Once this is dry, apply a second coat, once that is dry, take the green color. Starting at the tip of the nail, take the green brush and make three triangles. One in the middle, one on the right, and one on the left. Do this to all of your nails, then apply a second coat of the green. Make dots with the white nail polish and apply a clear coat. Voila! Delicious strawberries on your fingernails!
Fruity Nail Tutorial #3
CHERRIES!
Cherries are an adorable little treat that represent girlyness (if that is a word), sugar, and flowers. You will need red nail polish, white nail polish, green nail polish, and of course, a toothpick. First, paint all of your nails red except for the pointer fingers. Paint your pointer fingers white. Once you have applied two coats, take the red nail polish, and draw two dots (whatever size you want) next to each other on one pointer finger. Make sure that they are equal in size. Do the same on your other pointer finger. Then, take the toothpick and draw on two stems and one leaf per stem. Make sure your leaves aren't bigger than the dots. Apply a clear coat on top and VOILA! Cute little cherries in a perfect size!
Fruity Nail Tutorial # 4
PINEAPPLES!
These nails look a lot more complicated then they are. I think they are the perfect look for every party or even just relaxing, and I had a lot of fun painting them! You will need a light-ish yellow and dark-ish yellow nail polish. You will also need a light-ish green and a dark-ish green color nail polish, and our favorite, a toothpick. To start, paint every nail in the lighter yellow until it is opaque. Take the lighter green and either on the bottom or top (I think bottom looks cuter) and make a triangle across one side that goes to a little bit past halfway. Round the edges. Do the same with the empty side. Do this on all but one nail (this is optional, but I think it looks better if not all of the nails are the same). Then, with your toothpick and darker green draw lines outlining the "leaves" on the lighter green as in the picture below. Now take the other side of the toothpick and darker yellow. This next step takes a lot of patience so do not rush through it. Make 4 or 5 diagonal lines going in one direction, and then 4 or 5 traversing those lines. Do not do this on the finger without leaves. Apply clear polish on top and you are done!

LEMON SLICES
We all have them in lemonade, or even in plain old water, it just looks classy. This nail tutorial is so easy and cute anyone can wear it. You need clear nail polish, pink nail polish, orange nail polish, yellow nail polish, white nail polish and a toothpick. Start of by applying a clear base coat. Then make an orange stripe right on the tip of the nail. Make a pink stripe right under it. Make two circles that overlap a tiny bit on the pink and orange area. Repeat these steps on all of the nails. Then draw a large white dot in the middle of one circle, then make another one on the other circle. Draw 5 lines coming from the middle dots to the outside, then outline the circles. Apply a clear coat on top et thats it! A sweet and sour treat for your nails!

Summer Hair Styles
There are a few styles that are really in this season. Some are casual and some are a little dressy.
Casual Style 1: Sleek Ponytail
When hair is wet, pull into a tight ponytail, make sure that there are no bumps. The ponytail should be a little bit higher than you would normally have, it should make a bold statement. When the hair is dry, straighten the hair that remains in the pontytail. DO NOT BLOW DRY HAIR! Twist a small section around the top until it is covering the elastic, then secure a clear elastic around that hair. Brush the hair that remains until it is completely straight and looks sleek. Secure this with hairspray, and voila!
Casual Style 2: Fishtail Braid
A fishtail braid is a great sophisticated look with minimal effort, and will stay for a long time. Divide your hair into two sections. Take a clear elastic and secure it around the top of one of the sections. Take the other section, and secure a third of that with another clear elastic. Now secure the remaining two thirds with another clear elastic. Put behind your shoulder for further use. Take out the other section that we made in the beginning. Repeat the steps we did with the second section with this section. You should have four sections, and two should be half the size of the other two. Take the smallest sections and pair them with the bigger sections. One one side, rap the smaller section of one braid around the back and out the front. Repeat this step with the other side. The smaller ends should have switched sides. Then repeat this step with both sides again. Keep repeating until the braid is a length you like. Secure all of the lengths together, I normally use a colorful elastic because it looks more cheerful, but you can use a clear elastic or a hair colored elastic!
Dressy Style 2: Lady Gaga hair bow
Although we love how Lady Gaga rocks her bow, it is an extension. I am going to teach you how to do the real deal, and it will look fabulous. First, take all of your hair up into a ponytail, (if you have bangs, leave them out, it will look better) make sure that it is all smooth and that there are no bumps. Take a second elastic and wrap it around the ponytail (once for really thick hair, twice for regular hair, and three times for thin hair). You should still have room around the elastic. Twist the elastic to the back and make one more loop, but don't pull your hair all of the way through. It should look like a bun with the ends on the top of your head. Divide the bun into two sections, a left and a right. Pin the from and pack of the right to your head, repeat with the same side. If it isn't staying so well, you can add more pins. Then take the remaining ends that are in the front and brush them out. Then using a hair clip, lift them up to the from of the part where your bow splits in half, and clip them right behind the bow. Spray your hair all over and you are done! You now have a perfect Lady Gaga hair bow. P.S. the picture I included is with Paris Hilton instead of Lady Gaga because the bow Paris is wearing is the one we made.

Dressy Style 1: Braided bun
If you know how to make a french braid, then you can do this, I will soon be posting how to make a french braid but until then I'm guessing you know how. Make a french braid starting on either the right side of your head or the left, but only one. Continue the braid as a french braid until you have reached about three centimeters past your ear. Secure it with a clear elastic, in this case a colored one isn't optional. Brush the other side until it is smooth. Add all of the hair together into a low side ponytail. Twist the ponytail and then wrap it around the base of the hair elastic. Secure once the bun is in a shape you like. Hair spray is optional, I suggest using shine spray if you want to look a little more elegant, but if you want it to be a tiny bit casual, just leave it. Ta da! You are done.

Mostly A
You should get a pastel pink or purple, I am in love with "lilacism" by essie, it complimentsany skin tone or outfit!
Mostly B
Coral is so in this season, and it looks bold and strong out on the field. Try "peach daiquiri" by essie, I have that on my toes right now and it looks great covered with "shatter" by opi, but chic and girly a the same time
Mostly C
You want something as strong as your bada** attitude! Use "midnight cami" by essie, it is edgy without being goth, and looks super with anything!
Mostly D
For a soft, and sweet feel with a touch of sassy, use "sweet talker" by essie. It is my favorite blue and I have gone through two bottles already
Mostly E
You want something random and spunky to go with your personality, try "brazilliant" by essie. It can brighten any outfit, and is serious yet playful. This color compliments hair color by seemingly softening the skin around it.
New Shoes!!!!!!!
Okay, I just bought two pairs of new shoes, one pair was Steve Madden, and the other was F Troupe. The Steve Madden ones were on sale so I got them for like $15! And then I was going in to the city for dinner in China town, and I saw this cute little shop, I think it was called like Gargyle (or something like that) and I saw the cutest saddle shoes (I know, so random!) and after bargaining with the store owner for about 30 min (they were really cute shoes) I got them for only $20. These shoes are a cross between saddle shoes and modern (nikes?). The F Troupes are on the left, Steve Maddens are on the top right. Check out F Troupe on http://www.zappos.com/f-troupe or http://www.f-troupe.com/ they have really cute vintage shoes, hope you enjoy!
